Last Saturday 11th November, the town of Ademuz vibrated with the intensity of the Copa del Rey de Raid 2023. The competition, which took place on a challenging 122-kilometre route divided into four stages, was attended by 52 riders. Marc Vila emerged as the unstoppable rider, overcoming every challenge with his horse.
A Competition of Excellence
From the first phase, a group of twelve riders stood out, maintaining a considerable lead over the competitors. In the subsequent phases, the competition intensified, with lameness eliminations filtering out the real competitors. The final phase saw Marc Vila and accelerate to victory, overcoming rivals such as Omar Blanco.
In the final sprint, Marc Vila and ARGAU-50 demonstrated their speed and endurance, securing victory and the coveted Copa del Rey de Raid 2023. Although BALMA-PEU did not pass the trot in the vetgate, Marc Vila emerged as the champion, followed by Omar Blanco in second place and Miquel Vila in third, who also won the Best Condition with MASHAL.

On Sunday 12th, the focus was on the Spanish Junior and Young Riders Championship 1* 2023, where Manel Ferrer left an indelible mark. The race, contested in three phases over 100 kilometres, attracted 31 riders seeking glory in the equestrian world.
From the first phase, Manel Ferrer and PIKADO-DE-TORRE stood out in a leading group of seven riders. In the final phase, Ferrer accelerated in an impressive sprint, securing the victory and consolidating himself as a rising promise in equestrianism. Ibai Pascual with APACHE and Laia Requena with TREK-KAIA completed the podium, demonstrating the quality of the competition.
The weekend in Ademuz also saw other exciting competitions. Rebeca Pinder, Julia Montagne and Carla Mosti shone in the CEI3 160, CEI3 140 and CEIYJ2 120, respectively. Anna Soler won on Sunday, highlighting the diversity of talent in the equestrian world.
